filter-process: New command that can make git add/checkout faster when there are a lot of unlocked annexed files or non-annexed files, but that also makes git add of large annexed files slower. Use it by running: git config filter.annex.process 'git-annex filter-process' Fully tested and working, but I have not benchmarked it at all. git-annex allows managing files with git, without checking the file contents into git. While that may seem paradoxical, it is useful when dealing with files larger than git can currently easily handle, whether due to limitations in memory, checksumming time, or disk space.
