almost finished with applySimCommand
Added checks that repo names are ones that have been added to the sim.

Implemented preferred content etc setting. It does not need to parse the
expression in applySimCommand, instead that can be done when running the
sim. This keeps it pure.

But, it can't be entirely pure because of CommandAddTree. So made it
return an Annex action when necessary.

Moved makeMatcher into Annex.FileMatcher in preparation for using it,
but it's not used yet. Also moved checkPreferredContentExpression.

treat "not present" in preferred content as invalid
Detect when a preferred content expression contains "not present", which
would lead to repeatedly getting and then dropping files, and make it never
match. This also applies to "not balanced" and "not sizebalanced".

--explain will tell the user when this happens

Note that getMatcher calls matchMrun' and does not check for unstable
negated limits. While there is no --present anyway, if there was,
it would not make sense for --not --present to complain about
instability and fail to match.

avoid reposize database locking overhead when not needed
Only when the preferred content expression being matched uses balanced
preferred content is this overhead needed.

It might be possible to eliminate the locking entirely. Eg, check the
live changes before and after the action and re-run if they are not
stable. For now, this is good enough, it avoids existing preferred
content getting slow. If balanced preferred content turns out to be too
slow to check, that could be tried later.

plumb in LiveUpdate (WIP)
Each command that first checks preferred content (and/or required
content) and then does something that can change the sizes of
repositories needs to call prepareLiveUpdate, and plumb it through the
preferred content check and the location log update.

So far, only Command.Drop is done. Many other commands that don't need
to do this have been updated to keep working.

There may be some calls to NoLiveUpdate in places where that should be
done. All will need to be double checked.

Not currently in a compilable state.

balanced preferred content and --rebalance
This all works fine. But it doesn't check repository sizes yet, and
without repository size checking, once a repository gets full, there
will be no other repository that will want its files.

Use of sha2 seems unncessary, probably alder2 or md5 or crc would have
been enough. Possibly just summing up the bytes of the key mod the number
of repositories would have sufficed. But sha2 is there, and probably
hardware accellerated. I doubt very much there is any security benefit
to using it though. If someone wants to construct a key that will be
balanced onto a given repository, sha2 is certianly not going to stop
them.

importtree: support preferred content expressions needing keys
When importing from a special remote, support preferred content expressions
that use terms that match on keys (eg "present", "copies=1"). Such terms
are ignored when importing, since the key is not known yet.

When "standard" or "groupwanted" is used, the terms in those
expressions also get pruned accordingly.

This does allow setting preferred content to "not (copies=1)" to make a
special remote into a "source" type of repository. Importing from it will
import all files. Then exporting to it will drop all files from it.

In the case of setting preferred content to "present", it's pruned on
import, so everything gets imported from it. Then on export, it's applied,
and everything in it is left on it, and no new content is exported to it.

Since the old behavior on these preferred content expressions was for
importtree to error out, there's no backwards compatability to worry about.
Except that sync/pull/etc will now import where before it errored out.

--explain for preferred/required content matching
And annex.largefiles and annex.addunlocked.

Also git-annex matchexpression --explain explains why its input
expression matches or fails to match.

When there is no limit, avoid explaining why the lack of limit
matches. This is also done when no preferred content expression is set,
although in a few cases it defaults to a non-empty matcher, which will
be explained.

initial implementation of --explain
Currently it only displays explanations of options like --in and --copies.

In the future, it should explain preferred content expression evaluation
and other decisions.

The explanations of a few things could be better. In particular,
"standard" will just appear as-is (or as "!standard" if it doesn't
match), rather than explaining why the standard preferred content expression
for the group matches or not.

Currently as implemented, it goes to stdout, and so commands like
git-annex find that have custom output will not display --explain
information. Perhaps that should change, dunno.

move unspecifiedAttr check to checkAttr
It just so happens that everywhere that checks attrs other than
annex.largefiles parses the value further, and failed to parse
unspecifiedAttr in a way that behaved the same as if nothing was set. So
this is not a bug fix or behavior change. What it does so is prevent
future uses of checkAttr from needing to remember to handle checking for

Added LinkType to ProvidedInfo, and unified MatchingKey with

reason to keep separate.

Note that addLocked and addUnlocked still set matchNeedsFileName,
because to handle MatchingFile, they do need it. However, they
don't use it when MatchingInfo is provided. This should be ok,
the --branch case will be able skip checking matchNeedsFileName,
since it will provide a filename in any case.

use MatchingKey when a Key is known
This fixes a bug where a file that was not preferred content could be
transferred to a remote. This happened when the file got deleted after
the sync started running.

The only time checkMatcher is run without a Key is in calls to
checkFileMatcher, which are only done by add, addurl, import, and
smudge --clean. Those won't be affected by this kind of race. Anything
else that might be precaching and have a similar race as sync will also
be fixed, but I don't know if it actually affected anything other than
sync.

As well as fixing a bug, this also probably makes sync and --auto faster
by avoiding the redundant key lookup.

allow matching on files whose content is not present
Anything that needs to examine the file content will fail to match,
or fall back to other available information. But the intent is that the
matcher be checked for matchNeedsFileContent and only be used if it does
not, so the exact behavior doesn't much matter as it should never
happen.

The real point of this is to not need to provide a dummy content file
when matching.

a few forgotten remote config fields
preferreddir can be used with any special remote, so its parser needs to
be included in the commonFieldParsers.

initremote with uuid= changed to delete that field, so it does not
need to be included in commonFieldParsers. Note that, existing remotes
initialized before this change will have the field in remote.log.
This will not cause problems parsing, because the value will be
Accepted.

Grepping for 'Accepted "' found these, and I'm pretty sure this is all of
them.

be stricter about rejecting invalid configurations for remotes
This is a first step toward that goal, using the ProposedAccepted type
in RemoteConfig lets initremote/enableremote reject bad parameters that
were passed in a remote's configuration, while avoiding enableremote
rejecting bad parameters that have already been stored in remote.log

This does not eliminate every place where a remote config is parsed and a
default value is used if the parse false. But, I did fix several
things that expected foo=yes/no and so confusingly accepted foo=true but
treated it like foo=no. There are still some fields that are parsed with
yesNo but not not checked when initializing a remote, and there are other
fields that are parsed in other ways and not checked when initializing a
remote.

This also lays groundwork for rejecting unknown/typoed config keys.

annex.addunlocked expressions
* annex.addunlocked can be set to an expression with the same format used by
annex.largefiles, in case you want to default to unlocking some files but
  not others.
* annex.addunlocked can be configured by git-annex config.

Added a git-annex-matching-expression man page, broken out from
tips/largefiles.

A tricky consequence of this is that git-annex add --relaxed
honors annex.addunlocked, but an expression might want to know the size
or content of an url, which it's not going to download. I decided it was
better not to fail, and just dummy up some plausible data in that case.

Performance impact should be negligible. The global config is already
loaded for annex.largefiles. The expression only has to be parsed once,
and in the simple true/false case, it should not do any additional work
matching it.

git-annex config annex.largefiles
annex.largefiles can be configured by git-annex config, to more easily set
a default that will also be used by clones, without needing to shoehorn the
expression into the gitattributes file. The git config and gitattributes
override that.

Whenever something is added to git-annex config, we have to consider what
happens if a user puts a purposfully bad value in there. Or, if a new
git-annex adds some new value that an old git-annex can't parse.
In this case, a global annex.largefiles that can't be parsed currently
makes an error be thrown. That might not be ideal, but the gitattribute
behaves the same, and is almost equally repo-global.

Performance notes:

git-annex add and addurl construct a matcher once
and uses it for every file, so the added time penalty for reading the global
config log is minor. If the gitattributes annex.largefiles were deprecated,
git-annex add would get around 2% faster (excluding hashing), because
looking that up for each file is not fast. So this new way of setting
it is progress toward speeding up add.

git-annex smudge does need to load the log every time. As well as checking
the git attribute. Not ideal. Setting annex.gitaddtoannex=false avoids
both overheads.

convert TopFilePath to use RawFilePath
Adds a dependency on filepath-bytestring, an as yet unreleased fork of
filepath that operates on RawFilePath.

Git.Repo also changed to use RawFilePath for the path to the repo.

This does eliminate some RawFilePath -> FilePath -> RawFilePath
conversions. And filepath-bytestring's </> is probably faster.
But I don't expect a major performance improvement from this.
This is mostly groundwork for making Annex.Location use RawFilePath,
which will allow for a conversion-free pipleline.

wip RawFilePath 2x git-annex find speedup
Finally builds (oh the agoncy of making it build), but still very
unmergable, only Command.Find is included and lots of stuff is badly
hacked to make it compile.

Benchmarking vs master, this git-annex find is significantly faster!
Specifically:

	num files	old	new	speedup
	48500 4.77	3.73	28%
	12500 1.36	1.02	66%
	20 0.075	0.074	0% (so startup time is unchanged)

That's without really finishing the optimization. Things still to do:

* Eliminate all the fromRawFilePath, toRawFilePath, encodeBS,
  decodeBS conversions.
* Use versions of IO actions like getFileStatus that take a RawFilePath.
* Eliminate some Data.ByteString.Lazy.toStrict, which is a slow copy.
* Use ByteString for parsing git config to speed up startup.

It's likely several of those will speed up git-annex find further.
And other commands will certianly benefit even more.

fix annex.largefiles largerthan/smallerthan bug
Fix bug in handling of annex.largefiles that use largerthan/smallerthan.
When adding a modified file, it incorrectly used the file size of the old
version of the file, not the current size.

That was the only largefiles limit that didn't directly look at the file on
disk already. Added a new type to keep straight the two different ways such
a limit can be matched. I kind of wanted to extend MatchingFile or FileInfo
to indicate that the matcher is supposed to operate on files from disk or
annex, but it turned out to be too complex to implement it that way.

This also changes the LimitAnnexFiles case when lookupFileKey does not find
a key. It used to fall back to statting the file, now it always returns
False. I doubt the old code could really get to that point, but if it
somehow does, it's better for preferred content matching to be consistent.

filter exported tree through remote's preferred content setting
The filtering is fairly efficient as far as building the trees goes,
since it reuses adjustTree. But it still needs to traverse the whole
tree, and look up the keys used by every file.

The tree that gets recorded to export.log is the filtered tree.
This way resumes of interrupted sync to an export uses it without
needing to recalculate it. And, a change to the preferred content
settings of the remote will result in a different tree, so the export
will be updated accordingly.

The original tree is still used in the remote tracking branch.
That branch represents the special remote as a git remote, and if it
were a normal git remote, the tree in its head would not be affected by
preferred content.

update licenses from GPL to AGPL
This does not change the overall license of the git-annex program, which
was already AGPL due to a number of sources files being AGPL already.

Legally speaking, I'm adding a new license under which these files are

license. Now they're dual licensed GPL and AGPL. However, I intend
for all my future changes to these files to only be released under the
AGPL license, and I won't be tracking the dual licensing status, so I'm
simply changing the license statement to say it's AGPL.

(In some cases, others wrote parts of the code of a file and released it
under the GPL; but in all cases I have contributed a significant portion
of the code in each file and it's that code that is getting the AGPL
license; the GPL license of other contributors allows combining with
AGPL code.)

v6: avoid accidental conversion when annex.largefiles is not configured
v6: When annex.largefiles is not configured for a file, running git add or

if the file was in the annex before, and to git otherwise. This is to avoid
accidental conversion.

Note that git-annex add's behavior has not changed, for reasons explained
in the added comment.

Performance: No added overhead when annex.largefiles is configured.
When not configured, there is an added call to catObjectMetaData,
which involves a round trip through git cat-file --batch.
However, the earlier catKeyFile primes the cache for it.
