The pin in question is muxed between GPIO7 and PWM1. For backlight control
there is a custom code in board-zoom-display to control the backlight.
No need to request the GPIO7 - which was failing since the way it is
requested no longer valid: twl's gpio range is allocated dynamically.

With the PWM backed driver the PMU_STAT led's brighness can be controlled.
This needs the new drivers for the TWL PWM/LED to work.

New PWM drivers are being prepared for twl series which will enable the use
of all PWMs (PWMs and LEDs).
They are implemented as generic PWM drivers to be able to use them for different
purposes.
The current platform code was broken: the leds_pwm driver was not able to pick
up the PWM since the pwm_id was incorrect.
With the other patches we will be able to control the followings:
LCD backlight via pwm-backlight driver
Keypad leds via leds_pwm driver as normal LED
Charging indicator via leds_pwm driver as normal LED

For DT, DaVinci platform can use pinctrl-single driver for handling
padconf registers.
Enable PINCTRL Kconfig for MACH_DA8XX_DT platform. Add required
pinctrl DT entries in da850 dts file.
Test procedure
1)Populate DT file with NAND node information.
2)Populate board DT file with pinmux information for NAND.
3)Boot and confirm NAND is detected by the kernel.
4)cat /proc/mtd to show partitions.

During the migration to the common clock framework, calls to the
functions omap2xxx_clkt_vps_late_init() were not preserved for
OMAP2420 and OMAP2430. This causes the variables "sys_ck_rate" and
"curr_prcm_set" to be uninitialised on boot. On reboot, this causes the
following error message to be displayed because the appropriate MPU
clock frequency (derived from sys_ck_rate) cannot be found.
"Could not set MPU rate to 4294MHz"
Fix this by adding back calls to omap2xxx_clkt_vps_late_init() in the
OMAP2420 and OMAP2430 clock initialisation code.

McPDM need to be configured to NO_IDLE mode when it is in used otherwise

The AB8500 Pinctrl driver uses PRCMU register addresses to
control Pinctrl related functions. For this to happen, the
Pinctrl driver needs the PRCMU base to work from. We can do
that using standard Open Firmware (of_*) function calls, but
first we need a mechanism to gain access to the PRCMU
device node. We're going to use a Phandle in this case.

this patche deletes hard code that registers clkdev by things like:
clk_register_clkdev(clk, NULL, "b0030000.nand");
clk_register_clkdev(clk, NULL, "b0040000.audio");
clk_register_clkdev(clk, NULL, "b0080000.usp");
prima2 clock controller becomes a clock provider and every dt node
just declares its clock sources by dt prop.
it also makes us easier to extend this driver to support both prima2
and marco as marco has different address mapping with prima2.

Currently __hw_perf_event_init has an err variable that's ignored right
until the end, where it's initialised, conditionally set, and then used
as a boolean flag deciding whether to return another error code.
This patch removes the err variable and simplifies the associated error
handling logic.

We currently check for hwx->idx < 0 in armpmu_read and armpmu_del
unnecessarily. The only case where hwc->idx < 0 is when armpmu_add
fails, in which case the event's state is set to
PERF_EVENT_STATE_INACTIVE.
The perf core will not attempt to read from an event in
PERF_EVENT_STATE_INACTIVE, and so the check in armpmu_read is
unnecessary. Similarly, if perf core cannot add an event it will not
attempt to delete it, so the WARN_ON in armpmu_del is unnecessary.
This patch removes these two redundant checks.

Currently perf_pmu_register may fail for several reasons (e.g. being
unable to allocate memory for the struct device it associates with each
PMU), and while any error is propagated by armpmu_register, it is
ignored by cpu_pmu_device_probe and not propagated to the caller. This
also results in a leak of a struct arm_pmu.
This patch adds cleanup if armpmu_register fails, and updates the info
messages to better differentiate this type of failure from a failure to
probe the PMU type from the hardware or dt.

differentiate SoCs. Besides, one cpu_is_mx35 is useless as it has
already used pdata to differentiate runtime

UART modules on Wondermedia SoCs are connected via a gated clock
source, rather than directly to the 24Mhz reference clock. While
uboot enables UART0 for debugging, other UART ports are unavailable
until the clock is enabled.
This patch checks that a valid clock is actually passed from devicetree,
enables the clock in probe. This change removes the fallback when a
clock was not specified as it doesn't apply any longer (and would only
work if the UART clock was already enabled).
DTSI files are updated for VT8500, WM8505 and WM8650.

As per the current exynos-dw-mshc bindings, dw-mshc-sdr-timing and
dw-mshc-ddr-timing properties are having only two cells, these properties
are wrongly set for exynos5250 based cros5250 and smdk5250 platfroms. This

If there is no board selecting CONFIG_S3C_DEV_FB enabled, build will
fail on arch/arm/mach-s3c64xx/pm.c, where s3c_device_fb is referenced.
