25829c646e staging: comedi: dt282x: cleanup dev->board_name usage
This legacy driver does no additional probing so the dev->board_name
will already be properly initialized by the comedi core before calling
the (*attach) function.

Remove the unnecessary initialization of dev->board_name and use it
when requesting the resources instead of the open-coded strings.

f375ac5f19 staging: comedi: drivers: introduce comedi_request_region()
Introduce a helper function to handle the request_region() for legacy
comedi drivers.

As pointed out by Ian Abbott, legacy devices are configured manually
with the "comedi_config" program. The error messages are useful
diagnostics when trying to attach to these boards.

Providing a helper function allows consolidating the error messages
in the drivers and providing a consistent format for the errors.

This helper also sets the dev->iobase automatically for the driver
if the request_region() is successful.

fa180eb448 PM / Runtime: Idle devices asynchronously after probe|release
Putting devices into idle|suspend in a synchronous manner means we are
waiting for each device to become idle|suspended before the probe|release
is fully done.

This patch switch to use the asynchronous runtime PM API:s instead and
thus improves the parallelism since we can move on and handle the next
device in queue in an earlier phase.

1c9354b097 misc: apds9802als: Fix suspend/resume
The apds9802als driver implements runtime pm and at the same time uses the
legacy pm callbacks for suspend and resume. This does not work since the i2c
core wont look at the legacy pm callbacks if a driver has the 'pm' field set.
This patch fixes it by moving over to dev_pm_ops for suspend/resume as well.
Since both runtime pm and suspend/resume behave the same way this can easily be
done using the UNIVERSAL_DEV_PM_OPS macro.

4e4098a3e0 driver core: handle user namespaces properly with the uid/gid devtmpfs change
Now that devtmpfs is caring about uid/gid, we need to use the correct
internal types so users who have USER_NS enabled will have things work
properly for them.

Thanks to Eric for pointing this out, and the patch review.

e7a7f972f9 gpio: pca953x: fix irq_domain_add_simple usage
We actually have to pass chip as the host_data parameter of
irq_domain_add_simple() as later on, it is used to initialize chip_data
in pca953x_gpio_irq_map(). Failing to do so is leading to a NULL pointer
dereference after calling irq_data_get_irq_chip_data() in
pca953x_irq_mask(), pca953x_irq_unmask(), pca953x_irq_bus_lock(),
pca953x_irq_bus_sync_unlock() and pca953x_irq_set_type().

Fixes regression introduced by commit
0e8f2fdacf (gpio: pca953x: use simple
irqdomain)
