In one of my repos, I do git annex list and git annex whereis, and they seem to give different results. (2 X symbols versus 3 copies).
(see additional info).
I was expecting these commands always to return the same information (except for level of detail). Or maybe my understanding is wrong?

### Have you had any luck using git-annex before? (Sometimes we get tired of reading bug reports all day and a lil' positive end note does wonders)
Just starting to use it for my photo library. But it has all the functions I want, so I'm eager to learn/use/understand better/help if I can.
