+### Have you had any luck using git-annex before? (Sometimes we get tired of reading bug reports all day and a lil' positive end note does wonders)

+Yes! I use git-annex for many years now under Debian with no problems. Back when I recorded TV with my DVB-T card I used it to pushed files on external hard drives while being able to find them. I just now noticed
