f13876e2c3 ALSA: pcm: Check PCM state at xfern compat ioctl
Since snd_pcm_ioctl_xfern_compat() has no PCM state check, it may go
further and hit the sanity check pcm_sanity_check() when the ioctl is
called right after open.  It may eventually spew a kernel warning, as
triggered by syzbot, depending on kconfig.

The lack of PCM state check there was just an oversight.  Although
it's no real crash, the spurious kernel warning is annoying, so let's
add the proper check.

7d3af7d96a scsi: aacraid: Correct hba_send to include iu_type
commit b60710ec7d ("scsi: aacraid: enable sending of TMFs from
aac_hba_send()") allows aac_hba_send() to send scsi commands, and TMF
requests, but the existing code only updates the iu_type for scsi
commands. For TMF requests we are sending an unknown iu_type to
firmware, which causes a fault.

Include iu_type prior to determining the validity of the command

f4b024271a scsi: vmw-pvscsi: return DID_BUS_BUSY for adapter-initated aborts
The vmw_pvscsi driver returns DID_ABORT for commands aborted internally
by the adapter, leading to the filesystem going read-only. Change the
result to DID_BUS_BUSY, causing the kernel to retry the command.

e892e17d0c clk: qcom: gdsc: Add support to poll CFG register to check GDSC state
The default behavior of the GDSC enable/disable sequence is to
poll the status bits of either the actual GDSCR or the
corresponding HW_CTRL registers.

On targets which have support for a CFG_GDSCR register, the
status bits might not show the correct state of the GDSC,
especially in the disable sequence, where the status bit
will be cleared even before the core is completely power
collapsed. On targets with this issue, poll the power on/off
bits in the CFG_GDSCR register instead to correctly determine
the GDSC state.

50a5852a65 nfp: flower: set tunnel ttl value to net default
Firmware requires that the ttl value for an encapsulating ipv4 tunnel
header be included as an action field. Prior to the support of Geneve
tunnel encap (when ttl set was removed completely), ttl value was
extracted from the tunnel key. However, tests have shown that this can
still produce a ttl of 0.

Fix the issue by setting the namespace default value for each new tunnel.
Follow up patch for net-next will do a full route lookup.

b75eba76d3 tcp: send in-queue bytes in cmsg upon read
Applications with many concurrent connections, high variance
in receive queue length and tight memory bounds cannot
allocate worst-case buffer size to drain sockets. Knowing
the size of receive queue length, applications can optimize
how they allocate buffers to read from the socket.

The number of bytes pending on the socket is directly
available through ioctl(FIONREAD/SIOCINQ) and can be
approximated using getsockopt(MEMINFO) (rmem_alloc includes
skb overheads in addition to application data). But, both of
these options add an extra syscall per recvmsg. Moreover,
ioctl(FIONREAD/SIOCINQ) takes the socket lock.

Add the TCP_INQ socket option to TCP. When this socket
option is set, recvmsg() relays the number of bytes available
on the socket for reading to the application via the
TCP_CM_INQ control message.

Calculate the number of bytes after releasing the socket lock
to include the processed backlog, if any. To avoid an extra
branch in the hot path of recvmsg() for this new control
message, move all cmsg processing inside an existing branch for
processing receive timestamps. Since the socket lock is not held
when calculating the size of receive queue, TCP_INQ is a hint.
For example, it can overestimate the queue size by one byte,
if FIN is received.

With this method, applications can start reading from the socket
using a small buffer, and then use larger buffers based on the
remaining data when needed.

f6eeb9e548 Input: atmel_mxt_ts - add missing compatible strings to OF device table
Commit af503716ac ("i2c: core: report OF style module alias for devices
registered via OF") fixed how the I2C core reports the module alias when
devices are registered via OF.

But the atmel_mxt_ts driver only has an "atmel,maxtouch" compatible in its
OF device ID table, so if a Device Tree is using a different one, autoload
won't be working for the module (the matching works because the I2C device
ID table is used as a fallback).

So add compatible strings for each of the entries in the I2C device table.

a3fe1f6f2a tools: bpftool: change time format for program 'loaded at:' information
To make eBPF program load time easier to parse from "bpftool prog"
output for machines, change the time format used by the program. The
format now differs for plain and JSON version:

- Plain version uses a string formatted according to ISO 8601.
- JSON uses the number of seconds since the Epoch, wich is less friendly
  for humans but even easier to process.

spi: omap2-mcspi: Idle hardware during suspend and resume
We currently are calling mcspi suspend and resume without considering
that mcspi might provide resources for other device driver such as
regulators. This means resume can fail and will produce -EACCES if
errors if anything calls mcspi functions between device_prepare()
and device_complete().

To fix the issue, let's do the following changes:

1. Let's add checking for return values for pm_runtime_get calls,
   and call pm_runtime_put_noidle() on errors. Things still fail
   after this change, but at least we see something is wrong as
   we now see -EACCES errors on resume.

2. Let's use noirq level for suspend and resume as other drivers
   can still call SPI related functions on suspend and resume. This
   still won't fix the -EACCES issue, but gets us to something a bit
   saner.

3. Finally, let's modify suspend and resume to call to make sure
   the device is idled properly on suspend. We have device_prepare()
   call pm_runtime_get_noresume() that won't get released until in
   device_complete() when it calls pm_runtime_put(). So if SPI is
   still active on entering suspend, it will never get idled unless
   we add calls to pm_runtime_force_suspend() and resume. This also
   fixes the -EACCES errors on resume together with changes 1 and 2
   above.

And since we're already rewriting suspend resume functions, let's
arrange the order of suspend and resume functions to be like they
usually are with suspend first.

spi: omap2-mcspi: Restore context always in runtime_resume
We can have the SoC enter off mode also during idle, not just
during suspend. Currently we are handling the CS restore properly
for unused CS only for resume and not for runtime resume.

Let's just move all the context related restore to runtime_resume().

regulator: ltc3676: Assure PGOOD mask is set before changing voltage
Make sure the DVBxB bit 5, PGOOD mask, is set before changing voltage
on the buck converters. If the PGOOD mask bit is not set, the PMIC may
deassert the PGOOD signal during the voltage transition.

On systems that use the PGOOD signal as a power OK indication for the
board or SoC, which should be the case on correct designs, deasserting
the PGOOD signal will lead to system reset or shutdown, which is not
the expected behavior when changing PMIC buck converter voltage.

spi: bcm-qspi: Avoid setting MSPI_CDRAM_PCS for spi-nor master
Added fix for probing of spi-nor device non-zero chip selects. Set
MSPI_CDRAM_PCS (peripheral chip select) with spi master for MSPI
controller and not for MSPI/BSPI spi-nor master controller. Ensure
setting of cs bit in chip select register on chip select change.

ASoC: dai playback and capture active may be greater than 1
At the moment playback_active and capture_active are using only 1 bit so
the maximum active count is 1.

However, snd_soc_runtime_activate() may be called several time on the
same dai. This happens when a dai is part of several dai_links. It is
often the case for "snd-soc-dummy-dai".

This is a problem if snd_soc_runtime_activate() is called an even number
of times on a dai. In this case the active count overflow back to 0. As
consequence, ASoC functions, such as soc_dpcm_runtime_update(), won't run
correctly.

Storing these usage counts on plain 'unsigned int' solves the problem.

ASoC: cirrus: i2s: Fix {TX|RX}LinCtrlData setup
According to "EP93xx User’s Guide", I2STXLinCtrlData and I2SRXLinCtrlData
registers actually have different format. The only currently used bit
(Left_Right_Justify) has different position. Fix this and simplify the
whole setup taking into account the fact that both registers have zero
default value.

The practical effect of the above is repaired SND_SOC_DAIFMT_RIGHT_J
support (currently unused).

The bit responsible for LRCLK polarity is i2s_tlrs (0), not i2s_trel (2)
(refer to "EP93xx User's Guide").

Previously card drivers which specified SND_SOC_DAIFMT_NB_IF actually got
SND_SOC_DAIFMT_NB_NF, an adaptation is necessary to retain the old
behavior.

For the sake of uniformity, this patch adds a callback mt2701_afe_pcm_probe()
in mt2701_afe_pcm_dai_component to retrieve the regmap - the canonical way to
obtain the pointer..

Doing so, we could switch to use devm_snd_soc_register_component() to register
the component driver.
