cd5367ae02 cgroup: replace __DEVEL__sane_behavior with cgroup2 fs type
With major controllers - cpu, memory and io - shaping up for the
unified hierarchy, cgroup2 is about ready to be, gradually, released
into the wild.  Replace __DEVEL__sane_behavior flag which was used to
select the unified hierarchy with a separate filesystem type "cgroup2"
so that unified hierarchy can be mounted as follows.

  mount -t cgroup2 none $MOUNT_POINT

The cgroup2 fs has its own magic number - 0x63677270 ("cgrp").

v2: Assign a different magic number to cgroup2 fs.

34b8f97791 android: binder: support for scatter-gather.
Previously all data passed over binder needed
to be serialized, with the exception of Binder
objects and file descriptors.

This patchs adds support for scatter-gathering raw
memory buffers into a binder transaction, avoiding
the need to first serialize them into a Parcel.

To remain backwards compatibile with existing
binder clients, it introduces two new command
ioctls for this purpose - BC_TRANSACTION_SG and
BC_REPLY_SG. These commands may only be used with
the new binder_transaction_data_sg structure,
which adds a field for the total size of the
buffers we are scatter-gathering.

Because memory buffers may contain pointers to
other buffers, we allow callers to specify
a parent buffer and an offset into it, to indicate
this is a location pointing to the buffer that
we are fixing up. The kernel will then take care
of fixing up the pointer to that buffer as well.

d8e0aca03a android: binder: split flat_binder_object.
flat_binder_object is used for both handling
binder objects and file descriptors, even though
the two are mostly independent. Since we'll
have more fixup objects in binder in the future,
instead of extending flat_binder_object again,
split out file descriptors to their own object
while retaining backwards compatibility to
existing user-space clients. All binder objects
just share a header.

85460b112d net: inet: diag: expose the socket mark to privileged processes.
This adds the capability for a process that has CAP_NET_ADMIN on
a socket to see the socket mark in socket dumps.

Commit a52e95abf7 ("net: diag: allow socket bytecode filters to
match socket marks") recently gave privileged processes the
ability to filter socket dumps based on mark. This patch is
complementary: it ensures that the mark is also passed to
userspace in the socket's netlink attributes.  It is useful for
tools like ss which display information about sockets.

65aad0e5be net: diag: allow socket bytecode filters to match socket marks
This allows a privileged process to filter by socket mark when
dumping sockets via INET_DIAG_BY_FAMILY. This is useful on
systems that use mark-based routing such as Android.

The ability to filter socket marks requires CAP_NET_ADMIN, which
is consistent with other privileged operations allowed by the
SOCK_DIAG interface such as the ability to destroy sockets and
the ability to inspect BPF filters attached to packet sockets.

10b8e4ebc4 tools: hv: report ENOSPC errors in hv_fcopy_daemon

Currently some "Unspecified error 0x80004005" is reported on the Windows
side if something fails. Handle the ENOSPC case and return
ERROR_DISK_FULL, which allows at least Copy-VMFile to report a meaning
full error.

dbb9fe1fc7 usb: define USB_SPEED_SUPER_PLUS speed for SuperSpeedPlus USB3.1 devices
commit 8a1b2725a6 upstream.

Add a new USB_SPEED_SUPER_PLUS device speed, and make sure usb core can
handle the new speed.
In most cases the behaviour is the same as with USB_SPEED_SUPER SuperSpeed
devices. In a few places we add a "Plus" string to inform the user of the
new speed.

6acba5b6a1 ANDROID: net: core: fix UID-based routing
Fix RTA_UID enum to match it with the Android userspace code which
assumes RTA_UID=18.

With this patch all Android kernel networking unit tests mentioned here
https://source.android.com/devices/tech/config/kernel_network_tests.html
are success.

Without this patch multinetwork_test.py unit test fails.

1efb79086e perf/core: adding PMU driver specific configuration
It is entirely possible that some PMUs need specific configuration
that is currently not found in the perf options before a session
can be setup.

It is the case for the CoreSight PMU where a sink needs to be
provided.  That sink doesn't fall in any of the current perf
options.

As such this patch adds the capability to receive driver
specific configuration using the existing ioctl() mechanism.
Once the configuration has been pushed down the kernel PMU
callbacks are used to deal with the information sent from user
space.

feff85e807 coresight: stm: adding driver for CoreSight STM component
This driver adds support for the STM CoreSight IP block, allowing any
system compoment (HW or SW) to log and aggregate messages via a
single entity.

The CoreSight STM exposes an application defined number of channels
called stimulus port.  Configuration is done using entries in sysfs
and channels made available to userspace via configfs.

28813390bf fuse: Add support for d_canonical_path
Allows FUSE to report to inotify that it is acting
as a layered filesystem. The userspace component
returns a string representing the location of the
underlying file. If the string cannot be resolved
into a path, the top level path is returned instead.

glibc's net/if.h contains copies of definitions from linux/if.h and these
conflict and cause build failures if both files are included by application
source code. Changes in uapi headers, which fixed header file dependencies to
include linux/if.h when it was needed, e.g. commit 1ffad83d, made the
net/if.h and linux/if.h incompatibilities visible as build failures for
userspace applications like iproute2 and xtables-addons.

This patch fixes compile errors when glibc net/if.h is included before

a9da0b3dc7 v4l2-dv-timings.h: fix polarity for 4k formats

The VSync polarity was negative instead of positive for the 4k CEA formats.
I probably copy-and-pasted these from the DMT 4k format, which does have a
negative VSync polarity.

7712c014b1 uapi: update install list after nvme.h rename
commit a9cf8284b4 upstream.

Commit 9d99a8dda1 ("nvme: move hardware structures out of the uapi
version of nvme.h") renamed nvme.h to nvme_ioctl.h, but the uapi list
still refers to nvme.h.  People trying to install the headers hit a
failure as the header no longer exists.

9a878d1d77 ext4: Add support for FIDTRIM, a best-effort ioctl for deep discard trim
* What
This provides an interface for issuing an FITRIM which uses the
secure discard instead of just a discard.
Only the eMMC command is "secure", and not how the FS uses it:
due to the fact that the FS might reassign a region somewhere else,
the original deleted data will not be affected by the "trim" which only
handles un-used regions.
So we'll just call it "deep discard", and note that this is a
"best effort" cleanup.

* Why
Once in a while, We want to be able to cleanup most of the unused blocks
after erasing a bunch of files.
We don't want to constantly secure-discard via a mount option.

From an eMMC spec perspective, it tells the device to really get rid of
all the data for the specified blocks and not just put them back into the
pool of free ones (unlike the normal TRIM). The eMMC spec says the
secure trim handling must make sure the data (and metadata) is not available
anymore. A simple TRIM doesn't clear the data, it just puts blocks in the
free pool.

From an FS perspective, it is acceptable to leave some data behind.
 - directory entries related to deleted files
 - databases entries related to deleted files
 - small-file data stored in inode extents
 - blocks held by the FS waiting to be re-used (mitigated by sync).
 - blocks reassigned by the FS prior to FIDTRIM.

586278d78b mm: add a field to store names for private anonymous memory
Userspace processes often have multiple allocators that each do
anonymous mmaps to get memory.  When examining memory usage of
individual processes or systems as a whole, it is useful to be
able to break down the various heaps that were allocated by
each layer and examine their size, RSS, and physical memory
usage.

This patch adds a user pointer to the shared union in
vm_area_struct that points to a null terminated string inside
the user process containing a name for the vma.  vmas that
point to the same address will be merged, but vmas that
point to equivalent strings at different addresses will
not be merged.

Userspace can set the name for a region of memory by calling
prctl(PR_SET_VMA, PR_SET_VMA_ANON_NAME, start, len, (unsigned long)name);
Setting the name to NULL clears it.

The names of named anonymous vmas are shown in /proc/pid/maps
as [anon:<name>] and in /proc/pid/smaps in a new "Name" field
that is only present for named vmas.  If the userspace pointer
is no longer valid all or part of the name will be replaced
with "<fault>".

The idea to store a userspace pointer to reduce the complexity
within mm (at the expense of the complexity of reading
/proc/pid/mem) came from Dave Hansen.  This results in no
runtime overhead in the mm subsystem other than comparing
the anon_name pointers when considering vma merging.  The pointer
is stored in a union with fieds that are only used on file-backed
mappings, so it does not increase memory usage.

Includes fix from Jed Davis <jld@mozilla.com> for typo in
prctl_set_vma_anon_name, which could attempt to set the name
across two vmas at the same time due to a typo, which might
corrupt the vma list.  Fix it to use tmp instead of end to limit
the name setting to a single vma at a time.

d5b7dffe62 prctl: reset PR_SET_TIMERSLACK_PID value to avoid conflict
PR_SET_TIMERSLACK_PID value keep colliding with that of
newer prctls in mainline (e.g. first with PR_SET_THP_DISABLE,
and again with PR_MPX_ENABLE_MANAGEMENT).

So reset PR_SET_TIMERSLACK_PID to a large number so as to
avoid conflict in the near term while it is out of mainline
tree.

f2902f9065 prctl: adds PR_SET_TIMERSLACK_PID for setting timer slack of an arbitrary thread.
Second argument is similar to PR_SET_TIMERSLACK, if non-zero then the
slack is set to that value otherwise sets it to the default for the thread.

Takes PID of the thread as the third argument.

This allows power/performance management software to set timer slack for
other threads according to its policy for the thread (such as when the
thread is designated foreground vs. background activity)

62ade5c47d xt_qtaguid: use sock_gen_put() instead of xt_socket_put_sk()
Removing obsolete xt_socket_put_sk() and using sock_gen_put() instead.
xt_socket_put_sk() was reintroduced for xt_qtaguid in one of the patches,
but it turned out sock_gen_put() supersedes xt_socket_put_sk(). So we
don't need xt_socket_put_sk() any more.

This patch is based on commit 1a8bf6eeef (netfilter: xt_socket: use sock_gen_put())

6dd69fdc00 net: ipv6: autoconf routes into per-device tables
Currently, IPv6 router discovery always puts routes into
RT6_TABLE_MAIN. This causes problems for connection managers
that want to support multiple simultaneous network connections
and want control over which one is used by default (e.g., wifi
and wired).

To work around this connection managers typically take the routes
they prefer and copy them to static routes with low metrics in
the main table. This puts the burden on the connection manager
to watch netlink to see if the routes have changed, delete the
routes when their lifetime expires, etc.

Instead, this patch adds a per-interface sysctl to have the
kernel put autoconf routes into different tables. This allows
each interface to have its own autoconf table, and choosing the
default interface (or using different interfaces at the same
time for different types of traffic) can be done using
appropriate ip rules.

The sysctl behaves as follows:

- = 0: default. Put routes into RT6_TABLE_MAIN as before.
- > 0: manual. Put routes into the specified table.
- < 0: automatic. Add the absolute value of the sysctl to the
       device's ifindex, and use that table.

The automatic mode is most useful in conjunction with
net.ipv6.conf.default.accept_ra_rt_table. A connection manager
or distribution could set it to, say, -100 on boot, and
thereafter just use IP rules.
