The return code of the __put_user call to store the rt_sigreturn
system call to the user stack if not properly checked, the err
variable is only checked before to the __put_user. Use an if

Remove the embedded struct cpu from struct pcpu and replace it with a
pointer instead. The struct cpu now gets allocated when a new cpu gets
detected.
The size of the pcpu_devices array (NR_CPUS * sizeof(struct pcpu)) gets
reduced by nearly 120KB.

The deactivation and freeing of the tty view of the 3270 device
can race with a tty3270_update invocation via the update timer.
To fix this move the del_timer_sync call for the update timer from
tty3270_free_view to tty3270_free prior to the tty3270_free_screen
call.

The user_enable_single_step() and user_disable_sindle_step() functions
are always called on the inferior, never for the currently active
process. Remove the unnecessary check for the current process and
the update_cr_regs() call from the enable/disable functions.

If the per cpu ec_mask bit of the receiving cpu is already set there is
no need to send an ipi, since a different cpu has already sent an ipi
and the receiving cpu has not yet executed the external call ipi handler.

Subchannel looping function for_each_subchannel_staged() allocates a
subchannel-ID-bitmap to efficiently iterate over the list of known
and unknown subchannels. Since this function is also used to iterate
over known-subchannels only, optimize that case by not requiring the
ID-bitmap allocation and falling back to simple bus_for_each_dev()
looping.

The CIO layer scans for newly available I/O devices by performing a scan
of available subchannels using the Store Subchannel (STSCH) instruction.
Performing too many STSCH instructions in a tight loop can cause high
Hypervisor overhead which can negatively impact the performance of the
virtual machine as a whole.
A subchannel scan is triggered for example during a hardware event that
indicates that a channel path has become available. It is also triggered
by the DASD device driver for each device that is set online.
This patch reduces the number of STSCH instructions being performed by
delaying the start of the actual subchannel scan by 1 second. Multiple
scan requests that are scheduled during this time will be merged into a
single scan loop.
The trade-off consists of a short delay that is introduced between
the time that the event is processed and a newly available device
becoming usable. This delay should be acceptable since it only
affects devices that have not been in use before.

The CIO layer scans for newly available I/O devices by performing a scan
of available subchannels using the Store Subchannel (STSCH) instruction.
This processing can take a significant amount of time during which no
other task can run on the same CPU (unless CONFIG_PREEMPT has been
enabled). As a result, scheduling latencies for other tasks are
increased noticeably, especially on a single-CPU system.
Fix this problem by explicitly allowing other tasks to be scheduled
each time a subchannel has been processed.

The CIO layer processes hardware events that indicate that a channel
path has become available by performing a scan of available subchannels
using the Store Subchannel (STSCH) instruction. Performing too many
STSCH instructions in a tight loop can cause high Hypervisor overhead
which can negatively impact the performance of the virtual machine as
a whole.
This patch reduces the number of STSCH instructions performed while
processing a resource accessibility event and while varying a CHPID
online.
In both cases, Linux first performs a STSCH instruction on each unused
subchannel to see if the subchannel has become available. If the STSCH
instruction indicates that the subchannel is available, a full
evaluation of this subchannel is scheduled. Since the full evaluation
includes performing a STSCH instruction, the initial STSCH is
unnecessary and can be removed.

Some devices with support for mobile networks may have buttons for
enabling/disabling such connection. An example can be Linksys router 54G3G.
We already have KEY_BLUETOOTH, KEY_WLAN and KEY_UWB so it makes sense to
add KEY_WWAN as well. As we already have KEY_WIMAX, use it's value for
KEY_WWAN and make it an alias.

rem_ref() calls iwcm_deref_id(), which will wake up any blockers on
cm_id_priv->destroy_comp if the refcnt hits 0. That will unblock
someone in iw_destroy_cm_id() which will free the cmid. If that
happens before rem_ref() calls test_bit(IWCM_F_CALLBACK_DESTROY,
&cm_id_priv->flags), then the test_bit() will touch freed memory.
The fix is to read the bit first, then deref. We should never be in
iw_destroy_cm_id() with IWCM_F_CALLBACK_DESTROY set, and there is a
BUG_ON() to make sure of that.

For NUMA systems, initializing the blk-mq layer and using per node hctx.
We initialize submit queues to 1, while blk-mq nr_hw_queues is
initialized to the number of NUMA nodes.
This makes the null_init_hctx function overwrite memory outside of what
it allocated. In my case it lead to writing garbage into struct
request_queue's mq_map.

Commit 54b2b50c20 "[SCSI] Disable WRITE SAME for RAID and virtual
host adapter drivers" disabled WRITE SAME support for all SBP-2 attached
targets. But as described in the changelog of commit b0ea5f19d3
"firewire: sbp2: allow WRITE SAME and REPORT SUPPORTED OPERATION CODES",
it is not required to blacklist WRITE SAME.
Bring the feature back by reverting the sbp2.c hunk of commit 54b2b50c20.

handle_level_irq masks the interrupt before handling it, and only
unmasks it after the handler is finished. So when a touch event
happens after threads are suspended, but before the system is fully asleep
the irq handler tries to wakeup the thread which will only happen on the
next resume, resulting in the wakeup event never being sent and the driver
not being able to wake the system from sleep due to the masked irq.
Therefore move the wakeup_event to a small non-threaded handler.

added implicit call to of_clk_init() from default time_init callback,
but it did not change platforms calling it from other callbacks, despite
of not having custom time_init callbacks. This caused double clock
initialization on such platforms, leading to boot failures. An example
of such platform is mach-s3c64xx.
This patch fixes boot failure on s3c64xx by dropping custom init_irq
callback, which had a call to of_clk_init() and moving system reset
initialization to init_machine callback. This allows us to have
clocks initialized properly without a need to have custom init_time or
init_irq callbacks.

This patch fixes a slab memory leak that sometimes can occur
for files with a very short lifespan. The problem occurs when
a dinode is deleted before it has gotten to the journal properly.
In the leak scenario, the bd object is pinned for journal
committment (queued to the metadata buffers queue: sd_log_le_buf)
but is subsequently unpinned and dequeued before it finds its way
to the ail or the revoke queue. In this rare circumstance, the bd
object needs to be freed from slab memory, or it is forgotten.
We have to be very careful how we do it, though, because
multiple processes can call gfs2_remove_from_journal. In order to
avoid double-frees, only the process that does the unpinning is
allowed to free the bd.

Function gfs2_remove_from_ail drops the reference on the bh via
brelse. This patch fixes a race condition whereby bh is deferenced
after the brelse when setting bd->bd_blkno = bh->b_blocknr;
Under certain rare circumstances, bh might be gone or reused,
and bd->bd_blkno is set to whatever that memory happens to be,
which is often 0. Later, in gfs2_trans_add_unrevoke, that bd fails
the test "bd->bd_blkno >= blkno" which causes it to never be freed.
The end result is that the bd is never freed from the bufdata cache,
which results in this error:

A fix for possible memory corruption during DM table load, fix a
possible leak of snapshot space in case of a crash, fix a possible
deadlock due to a shared workqueue in the delay target, fix to
initialize read-only module parameters that are used to export metrics
for dm stats and dm bufio.
Quite a few stable fixes were identified for both the thin-provisioning
and caching targets as a result of increased regression testing using
the device-mapper-test-suite (dmts). The most notable of these are the
reference counting fixes for the space map btree that is used by the
dm-array interface -- without these the dm-cache metadata will leak,
resulting in dm-cache devices running out of metadata blocks. Also,
some important fixes related to the thin-provisioning target's
transition to read-only mode on error.

In the current code, at haswell_modeset_global_resources, first we
decide if we want to enable/disable the power well, then we decide if
we want to enable/disable PC8. On the case where we're enabling PC8
this works fine, but on the case where we disable PC8 due to a non-eDP
monitor being enabled, we first enable the power well and then disable
PC8. Although wrong, this doesn't seem to be causing any problems now,
and we don't even see anything in dmesg. But the patches for runtime
D3 turn this problem into a real bug, so we need to fix it.
This fixes the "modeset-non-lpsp" subtest from the "pm_pc8" test from
intel-gpu-tools.

Commit 4f8ad655db "writeback: Refactor writeback_single_inode()" added
a condition to skip clean inode. However this is wrong in WB_SYNC_ALL
mode because there we also want to wait for outstanding writeback on
possibly clean inode. This was causing occasional data corruption issues
on NFS because it uses sync_inode() to make sure all outstanding writes
are flushed to the server before truncating the inode and with
sync_inode() returning prematurely file was sometimes extended back
by an outstanding write after it was truncated.
So modify the test to also check for pages under writeback in
WB_SYNC_ALL mode.

A small set of driver fixes plus one larger core change which changes
the way we check to see if we're using DT so that there aren't any races
between deciding we're using DT and the regulator subsystem noticing.
This makes the new support for substituting a dummy regulator and
optional regulators work a lot better on DT systems since it ensures
that we don't trigger probe deferral when we shouldn't which was causing
bugs in clients.
