Commit 81732c3b2f ("tty vt: Fix line garbage in virtual console on
command line edition") broke insert_char() in multiple ways. Then
commit b1a925f44a ("tty vt: Fix a regression in command line edition")
partially fixed it. However, the buffer being moved is still too large
and overflowing beyond the end of the current line, corrupting existing
characters on the next line.

Needless to say that this is very annoying when inserting words in the

Noticed that vmxnet3's get_ringparam function was returning the summation of all
ring buffers on a NIC, rather than just the size of any one ring. This causes
problems when a vmxnet3 instance has multiple queues, as ethtool, when setting
ring parameters, first gets the current ring parameters to set the existing
values in the set_ringparm commannd. The result is, that unless both rx and tx
ring sizes are set in a single operation, which ever ring is not set will
silently have its ring count multiplied by the number of queues on the NIC until
it reaches a driver defined maxiumum value.
Fix it by not multiplying the rx and tx ring sizes by the number of queues in
the system, like every other driver. Tested by myself successfully.

The new B series BIOS has version string 43CN46WW. The driver
requires that 2nd and 3rd characters be 'E' and 'T' respectively,
where as the newer BIOS has 'C' and 'N' respectively. Failing to
load the module causes some of the hotkeys to not work.

a 0x78 EC register exposes the state of wifi hardware switch on the machine.
So, add this patch to support Lenovo ideapad S205-1038DPG wifi hardware
switch in acer-wmi driver.
Evidently the Ideapad S205 is just a model name on the market, but they have
totally different product name in DMI table.

For machines with AMD graphic chips, it will send out WMI event and ACPI
interrupt at the same time while hitting the hotkey. BIOS will notify the
system the next display output mode throught WMI event code, so that
windows' application can show an OSD to tell the user which mode will be
taken effect. User can hit the display toggle key many times within 2
seconds to choose the mode they want. After 2 seconds, WMI dirver should
send a WMIMethod(SDSP) command to tell the BIOS which mode the user chose.
And then BIOS will raise another ACPI interrupt to tell the system to
really switch the display mode.
In Linux desktop, we don't have this kind of OSD to let users to choose
the mode they want, so we don't need to call WMIMethod(SDSP) to have
another ACPI interrupt. To simplify the problem, we just have to ignore
the WMI event, and let the first ACPI interrupt to send out the key event.
For the need, here comes another quirk to add machines with this kind of
behavior. When the WMI driver receives the display toggle WMI event, and
found the machin is in the list, it will do nothing and let ACPI video
driver to report the key event.

Add MSI Wind support to msi-wmi driver. MSI Wind has different GUID for
key events, different WMI key scan codes, it does not need filtering
consecutive identical events and it does not support backlight control
via MSIWMI_BIOS_GUID WMI. Tested on MSI Wind U100.

Introduced quirk_last_pressed variable that would indicate if
last_pressed is used or not. Also converted last_pressed to simple
variable in order to allow keymap to be non-contiguous.

Introduced function msi_wmi_backlight_setup() that initializes backlight
device. Made driver load and work if only one WMI (only for hotkeys or
only for backlight) is present.

It seems that existing brightness control works only for old EC models.
On newer ones auto_brightness access always timeouts and lcd_level
always shows 0. So disable brightness control for new EC models. It
works fine with ACPI video driver anyway.

This patch introduced a quirk_entry struct, then we merged all quirk
tables to msi_dmi_table. Then we can more easily to set different quirk
attributes for different machine.

For those machines with wapf=4, BIOS won't update the wireless LED,
since wapf=4 means user application will take in chage of the wifi and bt.
So, we have to update wlan LED status explicitly.
But I found there is another wireless LED bug in launchpad and which is
not in the wapf=4 quirk.
So, it might be better to set wireless LED status explicitly for all
machines.

Tegra only supports, and always enables, device tree. Remove all ifdefs
and runtime checks for DT support from the driver. Platform data is
therefore no longer required. Rework the driver to parse the device tree
directly into struct sdhci_tegra.

Many MMC capability flags are platform-dependent and are traditionally set
in platform data. With DT often each such capability requires a special
binding. Add bindings for MMC_CAP_SD_HIGHSPEED, MMC_CAP_MMC_HIGHSPEED,
MMC_CAP_POWER_OFF_CARD and MMC_CAP_SDIO_IRQ capabilities. Also add code to
DT parser to look up "keep-power-in-suspend" and "enable-sdio-wakeup"
bindings and set MMC_PM_KEEP_POWER and MMC_PM_WAKE_SDIO_IRQ respectively,
if found.

Some SD/MMC interfaces use 2 power regulators: one to power the card itself
(Vcc) and another one to pull signal lines up (VccQ). In case of eMMC and
UHS SD cards the regulators also have to be configured to supply different
voltages. The preferred order of turning supply power on and off is to
turn Vcc first on and last off.

MMC defines a number of standard DT bindings. Having each driver parse
them individually adds code redundancy and is error prone. Provide a
standard function to unify the parsing. After all drivers are converted
to using it instead of their own parsers, this function can be integrated
into mmc_alloc_host().

tmio-mmc platform flags can be set by various means, including caller
drivers and device-tree bindings, therefore it is better to only check
them in the tmio-mmc driver proper, not in caller drivers themselves.

3714f4315354 ("mmc: sdhci: update signal voltage switch code") changed the
type of the second parameter of sdhci_do_start_signal_voltage_switch(),
from "struct mmc_ios *ios" to "int signal_voltage" which causes the
following build warning:

Some regulators don't report any voltage values, so checking supported
voltage range results in disabling all SDHCI_CAN_VDD_* flags and
registration failure. This patch finally provides a correct fix for the
registration of SDHCI driver with all possible voltage regulators:
dummy, fixed and regulated without using regulator_count_voltages()
hacks.
