Currently IEEE 1588 timer reference clock source is determined through
hard-coded value in gianfar_ptp driver. This patch allows to select ptp
clock source by means of device tree file node.
For instance:
fsl,cksel = <0>;
for using external (TSEC_TMR_CLK input) high precision timer
reference clock.
Other acceptable values:
<1> : eTSEC system clock
<2> : eTSEC1 transmit clock
<3> : RTC clock input
When this attribute isn't used, eTSEC system clock will serve as
IEEE 1588 timer reference clock.

This commit adds support for Message Signaled Interrupts in the
Marvell PCIe host controller. The work is very simple: it simply gets
a reference to the msi_chip associated to the PCIe controller thanks
to the msi-parent DT property, and stores this reference in the
pci_bus structure. This is enough to let the Linux PCI core use the
functions of msi_chip to setup and teardown MSIs.

This commit introduces the support for the MSI interrupts in the
armada-370-xp interrupt controller driver. It registers an MSI chip to
the MSI chip registry, which will be used by the Marvell PCIe host
controller driver.
The MSI interrupts use the 16 high doorbells, and are therefore
notified using IRQ1 of the main interrupt controller.

is still one outstanding tty regression fix that isn't in here yet, as I want

The advent of multi-cluster ARM systems requires a mechanism to describe
how in hierarchical terms CPUs are connected in ARM SoCs so that the kernel
can initialize and map resources like IRQs and memory space to specific
group(s) of CPUs.
The CPU topology is made up of multiple hierarchy levels whose bottom
layers (aka leaf nodes in device tree syntax) contain links to the HW
CPUs in the system.
The topology bindings are generic for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems and
lay the groundwork on top of which affinity schemes can be built.
This patch provides the documentation in the kernel required to define the
device tree bindings describing the CPU topology for ARM 32-bit and 64-bit
systems.

The PHY framework provides a set of APIs for the PHY drivers to
create/destroy a PHY and APIs for the PHY users to obtain a reference to the
PHY with or without using phandle. For dt-boot, the PHY drivers should
also register *PHY provider* with the framework.
PHY drivers should create the PHY by passing id and ops like init, exit,
power_on and power_off. This framework is also pm runtime enabled.
The documentation for the generic PHY framework is added in
Documentation/phy.txt and the documentation for dt binding can be found at
Documentation/devicetree/bindings/phy/phy-bindings.txt

Allwinner has electric fuses (efuse) on their line of chips. This driver
reads those fuses, seeds the kernel entropy and exports them as a sysfs
node.
These fuses are most likely to be programmed at the factory, encoding
things like Chip ID, some sort of serial number, etc. and appear to be
reasonably unique.
While in theory, these should be writeable by the user, it will probably
be inconvenient to do so. Allwinner recommends that a certain input pin,
labeled 'efuse_vddq', be connected to GND. To write these fuses however,
a 2.5 V programming voltage needs to be applied to this pin.
Even so, they can still be used to generate a board-unique mac from,
board unique RSA key and seed the kernel RNG.
On sun7i additional storage is available, this is initially used for an
UEFI BOOT key, Secure JTAG key, HDMI-HDCP key and vendor specific keys.

The "mentor,musb" binding isn't documented so I was about
to document it.
The node is missing a few properties for configuration like
"multipoint", "dyn_fifo", "num_eps" or "ram_bits". However
I am not sure "missing" is the right word here because some
of those informations might be obtained from the chip itself
but it is not done (yet).
Further the ePARP 2.3.1 says the matching goes from left to
right taking the fist match. Right now there is jus a driver
for "stericsson,db8500-musb" and none for "mentor,musb".
I'm not 100% that it is simply possible to have a generic
since even for DMA we have ifdefs in the driver between
"generic mentor dma" and "ux500 dma" and I mean within musb
and not the dma code.
For that reason (that I am not sure a generic musb binding
is possible and how its binding / required properties will
look like) and the reason that we have here a minor binding
without a driver to look at I suggest to remove that binding.
If the majority of people prefer to keep this binding I'm
curious how the documentation of the binding should look like.

Remove the list of possible pin configurations from the documentation
file and create header files containing those definitions.
This eliminates the need for error-prone manual lookup of those values
in the documentation and guarantees consistency between the human
readable representation of the pad function in the .dts file and the
actual binary value used in DT.

Both f_max and f_min will be informed for core layer to request
valid clock rate. But current setting from 'host->bus_hz' may
not represent the max/min frequency properly. Even if host can
actually support high speed than bus_hz, core layer will not
request clock rate over bus_hz. Basically, f_max/f_min can be set
with the values according to spec. And then host will make its best
effort to meet the rate.

The cpsw currently lacks code to properly set up the hardware interface
mode on AM33xx. Other platforms might be equally affected.
Usually, the bootloader will configure the control module register, so
probably that's why such support wasn't needed in the past. In suspend
mode though, this register is modified, and so it needs reprogramming
after resume.
This patch adds a new driver in which hardware interface can configure
correct register bits when the slave is opened.
The AM33xx also has a bit for each slave to configure the RMII reference
clock direction. Setting it is now supported by a per-slave DT property.
This code path introducted by this patch is currently exclusive for
am33xx and same can be extened to various platforms via the DT compatibility
property.

Currently DT compatibility strings of both types can be found in the kernel
sources: <unit>-<soc> and <soc>-<unit>, whereas a unique format should be
followed and the former one is preferred. This patch converts the SDHI
MMC driver and its users to the common standard. This is safe for now, since
ATM no real products are using this driver with DT.

Add the GPIO driver for the Broadcom bcm281xx family of mobile SoCs.
These GPIO controllers may contain up to 8 banks where each bank
includes 32 pins that can be driven high or low and act as an edge
sensitive interrupt.

The AMS AS3722 is a compact system PMU suitable for mobile phones,
tablets etc. It has 4 DCDC step down regulators, 3 DCDC step down
controller, 11 LDOs.
Add a driver to support accessing the DCDC/LDOs found on the AMS
AS3722 PMIC using regulators.

The turn-on time of the regulator depends on the regulator device's
electrical characteristics. Sometimes regulator turn-on time also
depends on the capacitive load on the given platform and it can be
more than the datasheet value.
The driver provides the enable-time as per datasheet.
Add support for configure the enable ramp time through regulator
constraints so that regulator core can take this value for enable
time for that regulator.

The CCI PMU can profile bus transactions at the master and slave
interfaces of the CCI. The PMU can be used to observe an aggregated
view of the bus traffic between the various components connected to the
CCI.
Introduce a binding for the CCI PMU. The PMU node will be a sub-node of
the CCI node.

Palmas rails like LDOs, SMPSs, REGENs, SYSENs can be enable and disable
by register programming through I2C communication as well as it can be
enable/disable with the external control input ENABLE1, ENABLE2 and NSLEEP.
Add support for configuring these rails to be controlled by external control
inputs. This is require to configure the rail's control register as well as
configuration of resource register.
Provide the external input names through parameter "roof-floor". Updated the
DT binding document to details different value of the roof-floor.

This patch extends vic_of_init to parse valid interrupt sources
and resume sources masks from device tree.

Palmas series device like TPS65913, TPS80036 supports the backup battery
for powering the RTC when no other energy source is available.
The backup battery is optional, connected to the VBACKUP pin, and can be
nonrechargeable or rechargeable. The rechargeable battery can be charged
from the system supply using the backup battery charger.
Add support for enabling charging of this backup battery. Also add the DT
binding document and the new properties to have this support.

On some platforms (like AM33xx), a special register (RTC_IRQWAKEEN) is
available to enable Alarm Wakeup feature. This register needs to be
properly handled for the rtcwake to work properly.
Platforms using such IP should set "ti,am3352-rtc" in rtc device dt
compatibility node.
