f407dae760 PCI: mvebu: Return 'unsupported' for Interrupt Line and Interrupt Pin
The emulated bridge does not support interrupts, so it should return the
value 0 for Interrupt Line and Interrupt Pin.  This indicates that
interrupts are not supported.

Since Max_Lat and Min_Gnt are also in the same 32-bit word, we return
0 for them, which means "do not care."

This corrects an error message from the kernel:

  pci 0000:00:01.0: of_irq_parse_pci() failed with rc=135

Which is due to the default return of 0xFFFFFFFF indicating that
interrupts are supported.

The error message regression was caused by 16b84e5a50 ("of/irq: Create
of_irq_parse_and_map_pci() to consolidate arch code.")

The above mentioned commit didn't go far enough. Well, it covered the
function tracer by adding checks in __register_ftrace_function(). The
problem is that the function graph tracer circumvents that (for a slight
efficiency gain when function graph trace is running with a function
tracer. The gain was not worth this).

The problem came with ftrace_startup() which should always be called after
__register_ftrace_function(), if you want this bug to be completely fixed.

Anyway, this solution moves __register_ftrace_function() inside of
ftrace_startup() and removes the need to call them both.

New tracepoints have been added that have allowed for NULL pointers
being assigned to strings. To fix this, change the TRACE_EVENT() code
to check for NULL and if it is, it will assign "(null)" to it instead
(similar to what glibc printf does).

1a3e5173f5 can: flexcan: use correct clock as base for bit rate calculation
The flexcan IP core uses the peripheral clock ("per") as basic clock for the
bit timing calculation. However the driver uses the the wrong clock ("ipg").
This leads to wrong bit rates if the rates on both clock are different.

This patch fixes the problem by using the correct clock for the bit rate
calculation.

4e4844ccb1 i2c: i2c-diolan-u2c: different usb endpoints for DLN-2-U2C
The previous diolan adapter uses other out/in endpoints than
the current DLN-2-U2C in compatibility mode.
They changed from 0x2/0x84 to 0x3/0x83.
This patch gets the endpoints from the usb interface, instead
of hardcode them in the driver.

This was tested on a current DLN-2-U2C board.

Use bus->power_keep_link_on instead.  The controller shouldn't go to
D3 when the link isn't reset, so essentially avoiding the link reset

a238dcfa84 i2c: davinci: raw read and write endian fix
I2C IP block expect LE data, but CPU may operate in BE mode.
Need to use endian neutral functions to read/write h/w registers.
I.e instead of __raw_read[lw] and __raw_write[lw] functions code
need to use read[lw]_relaxed and write[lw]_relaxed functions.
If the first simply reads/writes register, the second will byteswap
it if host operates in BE mode.

Changes are trivial sed like replacement of __raw_xxx functions
with xxx_relaxed variant.

7585ca0dc9 extcon: remove freed groups caused the panic or warning in unregister flow
(edev->extcon_dev_type.groups) has been freed before device_unregister.
extcon_dev_unregister -> kfree(edev->extcon_dev_type.groups)
then device_unregister -> device_del -> device_remove_attrs
-> device_remove_groups(dev, type->groups);
panic because type->groups has been freed.

This patch is move device_unregister ahead of groups free
to avoid panic in extcon_dev_unregister.

6ac6b475c5 extcon: arizona: Get pdata from arizona structure not device
In the case of a device tree system there will be no pdata attached to
the device, causing us to deference a NULL pointer. Better to take the
pdata from the Arizona structure as this will always exist and we know
will have been populated since it is populated by the MFD device which
binds in the extcon driver.

b975dc3689 sony-laptop: do not scribble keyboard backlight registers on resume
Follow-up to commit 294d31e822 ("sony-laptop: don't change keyboard
backlight settings"): avoid messing up the state on resume.  Leave it to
what was before suspending as it's anyway likely that we still don't
know what value we should write to the EC registers.  This fix is also
required in 3.12

edd5eb4e99 ARM: OMAP2+: Fix eMMC on n900 with device tree
Looks like we need to configure the regulators and use the pdata
quirk to make eMMC work with device tree.

It seems that mostly vaux3 is used, and only some earlier revisions
used vmmc2. This has been tested to work on devices where the
system_rev passed by the bootloader has versions 0x0010, 0x2101
and 0x2204.

7ce93f3186 ARM: OMAP2+: Fix more missing data for omap3.dtsi file
After dropping the duplicate data in hwmod that now should come from
the .dts files, I noticed few more entries missing. Let's add these
as otherwise devices relying on these won't work.

Looks like the side tone entries are bundled into the mcbsp1 to 3,
so that may needs some special handling in the hwmod code as it's
currently trying to look up mcbsp2_sidetone and mcbsp3_sidetone
entries.

33cb667a00 ARM: vexpress/TC2: Implement MCPM power_down_finish()
This patch implements the power_down_finish() method for TC2, to
enable the kernel to confirm when CPUs are safely powered down.

The information required for determining when a CPU is parked
cannot be obtained from any single place, so a few sources of
information must be combined:

  * mcpm_cpu_power_down() must be pending for the CPU, so that we
    don't get confused by false STANDBYWFI positives arising from
    CPUidle.  This is detected by waiting for the tc2_pm use count
    for the target CPU to reach 0.

  * Either the SPC must report that the CPU has asserted
    STANDBYWFI, or the TC2 tile's reset control logic must be
    holding the CPU in reset.

    Just checking for STANDBYWFI is not sufficient, because this
    signal is not latched when the the cluster is clamped off and
    powered down: the relevant status bits just drop to zero.  This
    means that STANDBYWFI status cannot be used for reliable
    detection of the last CPU in a cluster reaching WFI.

This patch is required in order for kexec to work with MCPM on TC2.

MCPM code was changed in commit 0de0d64675 ('ARM: 7848/1: mcpm:
Implement cpu_kill() to synchronise on powerdown'), and since then it
will hit a WARN_ON_ONCE() due to power_down_finish not being implemented
on the TC2 platform.

symbol names results in insanely long names such as

When Link-Time Optimization adds its numeric suffix to such symbol, it

line number instead to create (nearly) unique symbol names.

Some investigation documented in kernel bug #65281 led me to the
conclusion that the source of the problem is the device_del() in
pci_stop_dev() as it now causes the sysfs directory of the device to be
removed recursively along with all of its subdirectories.  That includes
the sysfs directory of the device's subordinate bus (dev->subordinate) and
its "power" group.

Consequently, when pci_remove_bus() is called for dev->subordinate in
pci_remove_bus_device(), it calls device_unregister(&bus->dev), but at this
point the sysfs directory of bus->dev doesn't exist any more and its
"power" group doesn't exist either.  Thus, when dpm_sysfs_remove() called
from device_del() tries to remove that group, it triggers the above
warning.

That indicates a logical mistake in the design of
pci_stop_and_remove_bus_device(), which causes bus device objects to be
left behind their parents (bridge device objects) and can be fixed by
moving the device_del() from pci_stop_dev() into pci_destroy_dev(), so
pci_remove_bus() can be called for the device's subordinate bus before the
device itself is unregistered from the hierarchy.  Still, the driver, if
any, should be detached from the device in pci_stop_dev(), so use
device_release_driver() directly from there.

9886e1fd09 ARM: tegra: Provide dummy powergate implementation
In order to support increased build test coverage for drivers, implement
dummies for the powergate implementation. This will allow the drivers to
be built without requiring support for Tegra to be selected.

This patch solves the following build errors, which can be triggered in
v3.13-rc1 by selecting DRM_TEGRA without ARCH_TEGRA:
