6518bb69f4 gpio: Move GE GPIO driver to reside within GPIO subsystem
The GE GPIO driver provides basic support (set direction, read/write state)
for the GPIO provided on some GE single board computers. This patch moves
the driver from the 86xx specific platform directrory to the GPIO subsystem
so that it can be used on non-86xx boards.

330bbf4854 powerpc: Add GE FPGA config option
This patch adds the GE_FPGA configuration option. This is being carried
out as ground work to allow the PIC and GPIO drivers to be move from the
powerpc 86xx platform directory to more general locations to allow them to
be used on non-86xx boards and to reduce churn when further boards using
these drivers are added.

4951896aad powerpc/85xx: p1022ds: disable the NOR flash node if video is enabled
The Freescale P1022 has a unique pin muxing "feature" where the DIU video
controller's video signals are muxed with 24 of the local bus address signals.
When the DIU is enabled, the bulk of the local bus is disabled, preventing
access to memory-mapped devices like NOR flash and the pixis FPGA.

Therefore, if the DIU is going to be enabled, then memory-mapped devices on
the localbus, like NOR flash, need to be disabled.

This also means that the localbus is not a 'simple-bus' any more, so remove
that string from the compatible node.

4a170d0198 powerpc/85xx: create 32-bit DTS for the P1022DS
Create a 32-bit address space version of p1022ds.dts.  To avoid confusion,
p1022ds.dts is renamed to p1022ds_36b.dts.  We also create p1022ds.dtsi
to store some common nodes.

564ee46fb7 powerpc/85xx: p2020rdb & p1010rdb - lower spi flash freq to 40Mhz
This is here most likely since the FSL bsp. Back in the FSL bsp it was
set to 50Mhz and working. However the driver divided the SoC freq. only
by 2. According to the TRM the platform clock (which the manual refers
in its formula) is the system clock divided by two. So in the end it has
to divide by 4 and this is what the fsl-spi driver in tree is doing.
Since then the flash is not wokring I guess. After chaning the freq from
50Mhz to 40Mhz like others do then I can access the flash.

0c00f65653 powerpc/85xx: p2020rdb - move the NAND address.
It is not at 0xffa00000. According to current u-boot source the NAND
controller is always at 0xff800000 and it is either at CS0 or CS1
depending on NAND or NAND+NOR mode. In 36bit mode it is shifted to
0xfff800000 but it has always an eight there and never an A.

35ce1b5a20 powerpc/85xx: Adds Support for P2020RDB-PC board
P2020RDB-PC Board shares the same design(PCB) as P102x RDB style platforms.
The difference between this platform and the already existing P2020RDB
is mainly with respect to DDR. The P2020RDB-PC has a DDR3 memory.
The P2020RDB-PC also has a CPLD device connected to local bus.

The main differences from the P102x RDB-PC is 64-bit DDR and SYSCLK of
100Mhz.

4bc25af79e xen kconfig: relax INPUT_XEN_KBDDEV_FRONTEND deps
PV-on-HVM guests may want to use the xen keyboard/mouse frontend, but
they don't use the xen frame buffer frontend. For this case it doesn't
make much sense for INPUT_XEN_KBDDEV_FRONTEND to depend on
XEN_FBDEV_FRONTEND. The opposite direction always makes more sense, i.e.
if you're using xenfb, then you'll want xenkbd. Switch the dependencies.

313162d0b8 device.h: audit and cleanup users in main include dir
The <linux/device.h> header includes a lot of stuff, and
it in turn gets a lot of use just for the basic "struct device"
which appears so often.

Clean up the users as follows:

1) For those headers only needing "struct device" as a pointer
in fcn args, replace the include with exactly that.

2) For headers not really using anything from device.h, simply
delete the include altogether.

3) For headers relying on getting device.h implicitly before
being included themselves, now explicitly include device.h

4) For files in which doing #1 or #2 uncovers an implicit
dependency on some other header, fix by explicitly adding
the required header(s).

Any C files that were implicitly relying on device.h to be
present have already been dealt with in advance.

Total removals from #1 and #2: 51.  Total additions coming
from #3: 9.  Total other implicit dependencies from #4: 7.

As of 3.3-rc1, there were 110, so a net removal of 42 gives
about a 38% reduction in device.h presence in include/*

6e780cf5c0 C6X: remove dead code from entry.S
The ENDPROC() on sys_fadvise64_c6x() in arch/c6x/kernel/entry.S is
outside of the conditional block with the matching ENTRY() macro. This
leads a newer (v2.22 vs. v2.20) assembler to complain:

  /tmp/ccGZBaPT.s: Assembler messages:
  /tmp/ccGZBaPT.s: Error: .size expression for sys_fadvise64_c6x does not evaluate to a constant

The conditional block became dead code when c6x switched to generic
unistd.h and should be removed along with the offending ENDPROC().

e04268b0ef genirq: Remove paranoid warnons and bogus fixups
Alexander pointed out that the warnons in the regular exit path are
bogus and the thread_mask one actually could be triggered when
__setup_irq() hands out that thread_mask again after __free_irq()
dropped irq_desc->lock.

Thinking more about it, neither IRQTF_RUNTHREAD nor the bit in
thread_mask can be set as this is the regular exit path. We come here
due to:
	__free_irq()
	   remove action from desc
	   synchronize_irq()
	   kthread_stop()

So synchronize_irq() makes sure that the thread finished running and
cleaned up both the thread_active count and thread_mask. After that
point nothing can set IRQTF_RUNTHREAD on this action. So the warnons
and the cleanups are pointless.

b8fbaef586 wimax/i2400m: fix erroneous NETDEV_TX_BUSY use
A driver start_xmit() method cannot free skb and return NETDEV_TX_BUSY,
since caller is going to reuse freed skb.

In fact netif_tx_stop_queue() / netif_stop_queue() is needed before
returning NETDEV_TX_BUSY or you can trigger a ksoftirqd fatal loop.

In case of memory allocation error, only safe way is to drop the packet
and return NETDEV_TX_OK

Also increments tx_dropped counter

7bdd402706 net/usbnet: reserve headroom on rx skbs
network drivers should reserve some headroom on incoming skbs so that we
dont need expensive reallocations, eg forwarding packets in tunnels.

This NET_SKB_PAD padding is done in various helpers, like
__netdev_alloc_skb_ip_align() in this patch, combining NET_SKB_PAD and
NET_IP_ALIGN magic.

c0ea452e42 bnx2x: fix memory leak in bnx2x_init_firmware()
When cycling the interface down and up, bnx2x_init_firmware() knows that
the firmware is already loaded, but nevertheless it allocates certain
arrays anew (init_data, init_ops, init_ops_offsets, iro_arr). The old
arrays are leaked.

Fix the leaks by returning early if the firmware was already loaded.
Because if the firmware is loaded, so are the arrays.

127d0a198a bnx2x: fix a crash on corrupt firmware file
If the requested firmware is deemed corrupt and then released, reset the
pointer to NULL in order to avoid double-freeing it in
bnx2x_release_firmware() or dereferencing it in bnx2x_init_firmware().

cc34eb672e sch_sfq: revert dont put new flow at the end of flows
This reverts commit d47a0ac7b6 (sch_sfq: dont put new flow at the end of
flows)

As Jesper found out, patch sounded great but has bad side effects.

In stress situation, pushing new flows in front of the queue can prevent
old flows doing any progress. Packets can stay in SFQ queue for
unlimited amount of time.

It's possible to add heuristics to limit this problem, but this would
add complexity outside of SFQ scope.

A more sensible answer to Dave Taht concerns (who reported the issued I
tried to solve in original commit) is probably to use a qdisc hierarchy
so that high prio packets dont enter a potentially crowded SFQ qdisc.

a9e0aca4b3 asix: asix_rx_fixup surgery to reduce skb truesizes
asix_rx_fixup() is complex, and does some unnecessary memory copies (at
least on x86 where NET_IP_ALIGN is 0)

Also, it tends to provide skbs with a big truesize (4096+256 with
MTU=1500) to upper stack, so incoming trafic consume a lot of memory and
I noticed early packet drops because we hit socket rcvbuf too fast.

Switch to a different strategy, using copybreak so that we provide nice
skbs to upper stack (including the NET_SKB_PAD to avoid future head
reallocations in some paths)

With this patch, I no longer see packets drops or tcp collapses on
various tcp workload with a AX88772 adapter.

f2083241f2 target: Use array_zalloc for device_list
Turns an order-8 allocation into slab-sized ones, thereby preventing
allocation failures with memory fragmentation.

This likely saves memory as well, as the slab allocator can pack objects
more tightly than the buddy allocator.
