GFP_ATOMIC is used in snd_pcm_link() just because the kmalloc is
called inside a lock. Since this function isn't too critical for
speed and is rarely called in practice, better to allocate the chunk
at first before spinlock and free it in error paths, so that
GFP_KERNEL can be used.

The fb_videomode structure stores the front porch and back porch in the
right_margin and left_margin fields respectively. right_margin should
thus be computed with hsync_start - hdisplay, and left_margin with
htotal - hsync_end. The same holds for the vertical direction.

A call to pm_runtime_set_active() forces device to be at the active
state and skips calling its runtime suspend/resume callbacks. This
results in a freeze with a new power domain code based on gen_pd. Fimd
driver does all required runtime power management calls, so this
pm_runtime_set_active call is buggy. This patch removes it and corrects
clock management in probe function (clocks are now enabled by
pm_runtime_get_sync() call).

Currently Exynos DRM driver uses DRIVER_NAME ('exynos') name for the
core platform device. This is confusing, because it doesn't refer to the
function the platform device is performing. This patch renames the
platform device to the 'exynos-drm', which matches the convention for
naming the platform devices. The name used inside DRM subsystem has not
been changed.

All files in /sys/kernel/security/tomoyo/ directory other than

Add PID 0x6015, corresponding to the new series of FT-X chips
(FT220XD, FT201X, FT220X, FT221X, FT230X, FT231X, FT240X). They all
appear as serial devices, and seem indistinguishable except for the
default product string stored in their EEPROM. The baudrate
generation matches FT232RL devices.

When handling Interrupt Source Override in MADT table, the default
ISA IRQ trigger model and polarity should be edge-rising.
Current IA64 implmentation doesn't follow the specification and
set default ISA IRQ trigger model as level-low. With that wrong
configuration and when system runs out of interrupt vectors,
it will cause vector sharing among edge triggered ISA IRQ and
level triggered PCI IRQ, then interrupt storm. So change the code
to follow the specification.

Chanho Min reported that when the boot loader transfers
control to the kernel, there may be pending interrupts
causing the UART to lock up in an eternal loop trying to
pick tokens from the FIFO (since the RX interrupt flag
indicates there are tokens) while in practice there are
no tokens - in fact there is only a pending IRQ flag.
This patch address the issue with a combination of two
patches suggested by Russell King that clears and mask
all interrupts at probe() and clears any pending error
and RX interrupts at port startup time.
We suspect the spurious interrupts are a side-effect of
switching the UART from FIFO to non-FIFO mode.

A MCS7820 device supports two serial ports and a MCS7840 device supports
four serial ports. Both devices use the same driver, but the attach function
in driver was unable to correctly handle the port numbers for MCS7820
device. This problem has been fixed in this patch and this fix has been
verified on x86 Linux kernel 3.2.9 with both MCS7820 and MCS7840 devices.

Change mei_write_message's return type from bool to int
to enable propagation of the error code up to caller functions.
The function now returns -EIO when low level write fails and 0
on success.
A similar change is done in intermediate caller functions:
mei_send_flow_control, mei_connect, and mei_disconnect
This makes code more alike to typical Linux kernel error
handling.

If we initialize the slab caches for the quota code when XFS is loaded there

This driver solves three problems:
1). Parse and upload ACPI0007 (or PROCESSOR_TYPE) information to the
hypervisor - aka P-states (cpufreq data).
2). Upload the the Cx state information (cpuidle data).
3). Inhibit CPU frequency scaling drivers from loading.
The reason for wanting to solve 1) and 2) is such that the Xen hypervisor
is the only one that knows the CPU usage of different guests and can
make the proper decision of when to put CPUs and packages in proper states.
Unfortunately the hypervisor has no support to parse ACPI DSDT tables, hence it
needs help from the initial domain to provide this information. The reason
for 3) is that we do not want the initial domain to change P-states while the
hypervisor is doing it as well - it causes rather some funny cases of P-states
transitions.
For this to work, the driver parses the Power Management data and uploads said
information to the Xen hypervisor. It also calls acpi_processor_notify_smm()
to inhibit the other CPU frequency scaling drivers from being loaded.
Everything revolves around the 'struct acpi_processor' structure which
gets updated during the bootup cycle in different stages. At the startup, when
the ACPI parser starts, the C-state information is processed (processor_idle)
and saved in said structure as 'power' element. Later on, the CPU frequency
scaling driver (powernow-k8 or acpi_cpufreq), would call the the
acpi_processor_* (processor_perflib functions) to parse P-states information
and populate in the said structure the 'performance' element.
Since we do not want the CPU frequency scaling drivers from loading
we have to call the acpi_processor_* functions to parse the P-states and
call "acpi_processor_notify_smm" to stop them from loading.
There is also one oddity in this driver which is that under Xen, the
physical online CPU count can be different from the virtual online CPU count.
Meaning that the macros 'for_[online|possible]_cpu' would process only
up to virtual online CPU count. We on the other hand want to process
the full amount of physical CPUs. For that, the driver checks if the ACPI IDs
count is different from the APIC ID count - which can happen if the user
choose to use dom0_max_vcpu argument. In such a case a backup of the PM
structure is used and uploaded to the hypervisor.
