So is the ACeP dead? Yes and no. ~~Yes in the sense that we are less likely to see any new ACeP products in the future~~, and we are also unlikely to see any Spectra 6-based eReader products. No in the sense that ACeP is superseded by Spectra 6, so the technology lives on. Just like how the Pearl replaced the Vizplex, and the Carta replaced the Pearl. Now we have Carta so we don't look back to the older generation of screens. Also, in another sense, there are likely at least thousands of ACeP screens already manufactured but haven't been made into consumer devices.
